03/28/2020: I am back and getting my work in. I have a comic coming out soon. It is my goal to get at least one book done a month. I won’t play around and I won’t wait. I will complete each one without fail. That is the goal for now.
Improved Inking
01/31/2020: Trying to work more on my drawing and see if I can get more of my inking up. And I do think I can get the job done. This latest pic is the best I’ve done and I’m looking to do better later on.
Getting Back in Action
01/04/2020: I’ve got more work to do and thinking of a way to schedule my comics. Need to get things right. I want this year to have some fruitful effort. Time to get things done. Also fan practice draw with water color.
Back On
12/22/2019: Getting more practice in. I feel that drawing traditionally will be more effective speed with all the work I want to do. No more games. Just work. Digital still feels like a challenge, but I will get this one day.
Practice, Practice, Practice
11/27/2019:
Back in practice and ready to produce more comics. I haven't been focusing on my drawing as much as I wanted. So instead, I am trying to make a personal training habit that will increase my skills. Between doing 100 figures, then 100 figures with clothes, then adding more and more each time, I intend to get better just a little faster.
For the next month, I will focus on drawing more in practice, then start more of the comics next year. I think I can draw a few while maintaining my other projects in the meantime. Here's a figure practice I've been working on. Part of me thinks I haven't grown as much as I want, but I have a consistency with the floating pelvis. Keep drawing it too low.
Almost There
06/22/2019: I want to try progress a little more in my work. I have the comic sketched out, but now it is time to ink. If I get things right, I will have the next comic out by the end of the month. I am experimenting with my schedule to see if 3 month focus periods will be more productive. I don't know how well this will work, but I've tried for years to work on all of these projects to get nowhere. With this in act, it is time to see what will happen. If I can complete a comic every 20 days during this time, I will at least create 4 1/2, but for that to happen, I need to keep them short.
Next Issue
06/15/2019: Right now, I have progressed pretty far in drawing the comics. I have about 10 pages done and should have the rest finished by next Friday for the alpha pages. Then maybe a week in coloring and I will have the next issue out by the 30th of June. If I keep a 2 or 3-page plan a day, then progress with be swift.
Getting Digital
06/01/2019: I love this progress. I redrew a previous character for digital, and I think that it came out better than the other designs. Of course, there is no point in stopping. The goal is to get to a comic book level that is professional, but still in my style. I do want to get to a realistic drawing style and practice the other comic book styles.
Those are for later. Right now, time to finish the first 100.
Level Up!
05/25/2019: The skills have grown and the art is better. Since I’ve reached the 40s in my drawing quest of practice, I will try to go for digital drawing now and improve there. It is still faster and takes less material, but I will see where things go. More in the future.
Black and White Art
05/18/2019: Right now, I am practicing more on drawing in black and white. One of the coolest manga artists for the series Berserk often doesn't need gray shading but, can show some of the greatest detail. Even light or fluids can be displayed in such a way that you understand what is happening. For now, I will continue to work on my art. Soon, I will have the next comic out maybe by mid-June. That is the plan at least.
